Dr. Steven C. Waterfield
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Dr. Steven C. Waterfield is British has a B.A. (Hons) International Business Studies at Leeds University, a M.Sc Project Management and Consulting at Nottingham University as well as EET 1&2 Electrical Engineering, MET 1&2 Mechanical Engineering, Technological Diploma Mechanical Engineering with Kitson College of Engineering.
Dr. Waterfield has 35 years of professional experience in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of international power generation assets and over 20 years technical, commercial and operational management experience in South East Asia. Previously with the United Kingdom's Central Electricity Generating Board ("CEGB") for 12 years where his last assignment was Portfolio Optimization Manager. In 1992 he joined PowerGen International developing projects in India, Thailand, Australia, Korea and the Philippines and subsequently from 2002 until 2008 was International Business Manager - Asia Pacific for E.ON UK Technology. Finally, before joining Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. Dr. Waterfield was Regional Manager of South East Asia for E.ON AG (Climate Renewables) leading the E.ON carbon sourcing team with full responsibility for E.ON operations in Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
As Chairman of the Board, Dr. Waterfield leads the Green Power Panay Philippines Inc's development and implementation teams with operational responsibility for the delivery of GPPPI projects to the highest Environmental, Performance, Operational and Safety standard that meet or surpass International Finance Corporation ("IFC") and World Bank global standards.
Ret. Brig. Gen. Ramon G. Santos
DIRECTOR & PRESIDENT
Ret. Brig. Gen. Ramon G. Santos has served the Philippine Government in several roles since his retirement from the Philippine Army including: Undersecretary of the Department of Energy as well as the Philippine Defense Attaché to Beijing, China during his time with the Philippine Diplomatic Corps. He has obtained a BS degree in Economics, Master degree in Strategic Management from US Army War College and a PhD in Development Administration from Christian University of the Philippines. Ret. Brig. Gen. Santos assist in the fulfillment of the company’s nationwide thermal biomass power plant development.
Maribeth B. de Montaigne
DIRECTOR, VICE-PRESIDENT & HEAD FOR SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND POVERTY ALLEVIATION
Ms. Maribeth B. de Montaigne is a Filipina and a founder of the company. She has 20 years of experience in Community Development and Renewable Energy as well as coordinating Government and Major International Institutions working in Europe, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, North America and the Philippines.
As Director, Ms. de Montaigne heads GPPPI.'s Socio-economic and Poverty Alleviation programs development and implementation working with our Host Communities, Local Government Units, the National Government and Non-government Organizations (NGO's). These programs include the management of GPPPI. "Code of Business Ethics" (COBE), "Biomass Fair Pricing Policy", and the "Share the Renewable Energy Advantage" (SHARE) projects. Maribeth is also the primary point of contact with the Philippines Congress, the Senate and the Office of the President where she delivers our Thermal Biomass Renewable Energy (TBRE) awareness campaign.
Atty. Lyra Gracia Y. Lipae-Fabella
CORPORATE SECRETARY / CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
Atty. Lyra Gracia Y. Lipae-Fabella is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Her work experience includes being a Junior Auditor at Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co., Associate at Tan Venturanza Valdez and Securities Counsel III at the Securities and Exchange Commission. At present, she is the Managing Partner of the Fabella and Fabella Law Office. She also serves as Corporate Secretary to a number of publicly-listed and private companies.
Atty. Lipae-Fabella graduated from San Beda College of Law and obtained her BS Business Administration and Accountancy degree from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Atty. Yasmin A. Andaya-Racadio
DIRECTOR / TREASURER / ASSISTANT CORPORATE SECRETARY
Atty. Yasmin A. Andaya-Racadio is a lawyer (member of the Philippine Bar) and Certified Public Accountant (member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) ).
Atty. Yasmin A. Andaya-Racadio has a Bachelor of Law from Ateneo de Manila University and Masters in Business Administration from University of the Philippines.
Johnny L. Uy
Mr. Johnny L. Uy is one of the Directors of GPPPI. He was likewise appointed as Procurement Director of the
company. He held various positions in several companies such as Grasco Trading Inc. (Sales Manager for 14
Years), JLU Holdings, Inc. (Chairman since January 2013), Centron Energy Savings Technology Corporation
(Chairman since 2011), Powertrac Incorporated ( Chairman since May 2012), Fastpace Tractor Corporation
(Chairman since November 2011), Primeworld Construction and Development Corp. (Director since September
2010), Jalminelle Realty Corporation (Directors since October 2007) and KZ Distributors, Import and Export
Corporation (Chairman since February 2011).
Andrew K. Arriola
Mr. Andrew K. Arriola is one of the Independent Directors of GPPPI. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Zoology.
Michael A. Wootton
Mr. Michael A. Wootton is one of the Independent Directors of GPPPI.
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER:
Mr. Roddy Grant is British, Glasgow University BSc Hons. (First Class) Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Cambridge University MA Economics, ACA Diploma in Accounting Finance with professional courses at INSEAD, IMD, Harvard, Sundridge Park and Dunchurch.
With 35 years of experience, Mr. Grant was Vice President of Bombardier Transportation where from 2006 to 2007 he restructured the 2,800 employee UKP 400 Million, UK services business and from 2003 to 2005 was Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabia based Al Rushaid Investment Company where he was tasked to expand acquisitions. In 2001 to 2003 Roddy was seconded as Chief Operating Officer AMEC Americas in Toronto by AMEC UK to integrate the recently acquired 8,000 employee, UKP 1.1 billion engineering, design and construction business with operations across America and Canada. From 1996 to 2000 Roddy was the Divisional Managing Director AMEC UK, responsible for Oil, Gas, Power, Process, Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Contracting and Construction with revenues of UKP 750 million and 8,000 employees. Roddy also gained significant experience working with GEC ALSTHOM from 1984 to 1996 as Managing Director of GEC ALSTHOM China Limited, Director of Business Development Gas Turbine Division UK, Managing Director of the Low Voltage Group UK and Manager of GEC Meters Energy Management Systems.
As Chief Technology Officer Mr. Grant ensures that GPPPI's Engineering Construction and Procurement (EPC) contracts incorporate the latest proven technology optimizing power plant performance and environmental compliance whilst ensuring that all contracts are compliant within the arenas in which GPPPI operate.
Mark Gil S. Verzola
MANAGER, BIOMASS & INFRASTRUCTURE (South Luzon) / HEAD, ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
Mr. Mark Gil S. Verzola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of the Philippines-Cebu on a full Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) scholarship and is a candidate for a Masters on Environment and Natural Resources Management at the University of the Philippines.
Mr. Verzola has worked as a researcher regarding air pollution caused primarily by coal-fired power plant emissions in Cebu. Since joining GPPPI he has been responsible for successfully securing CDM Letters of Approval (LOA's) from the Department of the Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. GPPPI has executed Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements (ERPA's) with Blue World Carbon of Singapore and are now commencing validation for the UNFCCC. Mr. Verzola is also in charge of the licensing and permitting of our Environmental Compliance Certification (ECC) required by our biomass power plants nationwide.
Recto C. Doctor
MANAGER, BIOMASS LOGISTICS
Mr. Recto C. Doctor graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecjia and is an Masters of Business Administration candidate at the Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro. He has almost 25 years in supervisory and management experience within: agro-industrial companies, rural and socio-economic development, renewable energy biofuel crop production, agriculture and forestry projects. Recto has worked extensively throughout Mindanao organizing biofuels plantations and building community and institutional development, alliance building and networking. He was the Area Manager for Winrock International USAID Alliance for Mindanao Off-Grid Renewable Energy (Clean Energy Group), where he led the development of 112 off-grid barangays (villages) implementing and commissioning solar and micro-hydro systems, potable water systems and electrified 23 schools. He also worked with ACIL PTY Limited Philippine Australian Local Sustainability Program where he developed extension support programs for provincial and agricultural offices. With the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Recto worked on the development of forestry, reforestation, preparing and executing business plans to achieve JBIC objectives. He also worked with the European Union - Dept of Agriculture working with communities and government to develop cash crop plantations in the Visayas region.
Mr. Doctor assist in the local development of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc., from inception, securing the site location, converting land, securing local licensing, developing and contracting biomass with local farming groups and food processing industries.
Emmanuel M. Patricio
MANAGER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Mr. Emmanuel M. Patricio holds more than 7 years experience in I.T. Industry on a multitude of projects with roles varying from system designer/developer to system administrator to project lead. He is technically proficient in developing and maintaining web-based/online computer applications and possesses the capability to customize an open-source technology to meet the company's business needs. He is currently handling the maintenance and security of the company online systems, databases, websites and back-end administration. Mr. Patricio is a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology graduate from the St. Paul University Philippines in Tuguegarao City.
Benjie S. Palisada
SENIOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Mr. Benjie S. Palisada is in charge for the expansion of biomass collection and executing the program support and coordination of the Biomass contracts from rice farmers and millers and sugar millers in particular. He assists in project development activities of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. He’s a graduate of Internet and technology and Website Design at AMA Computer Learning Center.
Dodgie S. Verzola
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Mr. Dodgie S. Verzola assists in securing the biomass feedstock supply contracts from farmers, farmers’ cooperatives and irrigators associations in Bukidnon. He also assists in project development activities of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc.. Mr. Verzola is a Bachelor of Science in Forestry graduate from the Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon.
Ms. Rizalina B. Gonzalez graduated from the University of San Carlos with a degree of Bachelor of Education major in Mathematics. She also took Bookkeeping in Accounting and Marketing Management short course at Christian Institute Management.
Ms. Gonzalez is responsible for the management of administrative functions of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc.
John Michael R. Laserna
Mr. Michael R. Laserna graduated from the University of the East with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He is responsible for finance and accounting matters of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc.
Mercedita A. Combatir
FINANCE TEAM MEMBER
Mercedita A. Combatir spent 12 years of service with ILOILO II ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. (ILECO II), Pototan, Iloilo, Philippines, an Electric Distribution Utility. She is responsible in the preparation and keeping of books of accounts as well as in the keeping of the updated records and correspondence. She exercises prudent management, processing and handling of fund of the Company-Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. (GPPPI). She graduated from the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, Philippines, with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting.
Alexander C. Salvador Jr.
ADMINISTRATION (Customs Department)
Alexander Salvador is part of the GPPPI Administration Group assigned specifically to liaise with the Bureau of Customs. He graduated from the Philippine Maritime Institute with a degree in Customs Administration apart from being a Computer Technology graduate from the Asian Institute of Computer Studies. Alex also handles computer hardware/software maintenance and provides IT support to the GPPPI organization.
