Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. (GPPPI):

Green Power Panay Philippines Inc., is a Philippine Company developing two 17.5 Megawatt BIOMASS grid connected power plants in the Municipality of Mina, Iloilo, on the Island of Panay in the Philippines. The GPPPI biomass power plants provide decentralized, clean, grid connected renewable energy utilizing sustainable biomass resources such as agricultural crop and food processing wastes. GPPPI is strategically positioned to efficiently construct and operate biomass fuelled renewable energy power plants that embrace the global paradigm shift towards the development and use of clean, cost effective, renewable energy in the form of electricity: Clean energy generation that delivers extraordinary Socio-economic development, helps mitigate climate change and avert the looming energy crisis that faces the Philippines today.

Green Power Panay Philippine Inc., and subsidiary companies own eleven hectares of land in Barangay Cabalabaguan, in the town of Mina, Iloilo which is dedicated to the GPPPI power plant and biomass storage area. The site benefits from access to the both the main highway and is within 500 m from the 69 kV sub-transmission line of ILECO II, a main customer and 25-year Power Purchase Agreement counterpart to GPPPI generated renewable energy.

Extensive civil engineering is ongoing at the GPPPI project site including the construction of roads, site preparation and building of the GPPPI administration offices and Global Biomass Panay Inc., laboratory.

Green Power Panay Philippines Inc., has contracted with Poyry Energy Inc. part of Poyry PLC, the fourth largest engineering company in the world to deliver Engin-eering Procurement and Construction ("EPC") services that guarantees the performance and timely delivery of GGPC biomass power plants. Key technology is provided by the Dragon Power Group's DP CleanTech and operations are supported by Dragon Power's National BioEnergy. National BioEnergy ("NBE") currently owns and operates 25 biomass power plants in China that deliver 500 MWe of electricity. NBE are concurrently building an additional 15 biomass power plants that will deliver an aggregate 1,000 MWe of biomass power by 2011. Through a credit facility agreed with the China Construction Bank NBE will deliver 3,000 MW of biomass power to the China Grid by 2015.

Green Power Panay Philippines Inc is a subsidiary of Global Green Power PLC Corporation ("GGPC"). GGPC has targeted the Philippines for the construction and operation of biomass power plant projects of between 17.5 to 35 megawatts of electricity (MWe). The opening up of the Philippines electricity market via the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (“WESM”) called “Open Access”, the recent promulgation of the Philippine Renewable Energy Act of 2008 and the abundance of readily available biomass as a fuel source makes the Philippines one of the most attractive markets for renewable biomass power generation, globally.

Global Green Power PLC Corporation Biomass Power Plants are Renewable Energy (“RE”) Infrastructure that deliver extraordinary benefits to our host communities, local and national government as well as the environment. GGPC biomass power plants do not use biomass that competes with the human food chain

Global Green Power PLC Corporation is invested by Global Green Power PLC (“GGP”), www.ggp-plc.com a UK Public Limited Company dedicated to the development of Renewable Energy projects globally that mitigate climate change and deliver socio-economic impact.

Wherever Global Green Power PLC Corporation builds a biomass power plant, the money previously extracted from the community to purchase foreign fossil fuels such as oil and coal to provide power are instead injected back into the local community. This is achieved through GGPC's purchase of biomass agricultural wastes to use as an alternative fuel source that displaces conventional fossil fuel power generation. These farming wastes are generally burnt or left to rot in the fields. The sustainable purchase of agricultural waste is environmentally friendly and provides a significant additional income to the local farming and host community whilst mitigating climate change.

 THE BOTTOM LINE:

Global Green Power PLC Corporation = Renewable Energy + Stable Power Supply + Socio-Economic Development + Energy Security + Sound Stewardship of the Environment.

Each GGPC 35 MW Biomass Power Plant:

  1. Delivers Renewable Energy at prices competitive to Fossil Fuel energy.
  2. Delivers Stable, Decentralized, Renewable Energy Base-load Power that stabilizes our host power distribution grid and fosters economic development.
  3. Delivers an estimated 3,400 direct and indirect jobs for every 17.5 Megawatt Biomass Power Plant.
  4. Delivers Energy Security to the Philippines through the utilization of local, indigenous, renewable fuel resources displacing and estimated $USD 2.9 Billion of imported diesel fuel over a 25-year period.*
  5. Delivers Foreign Exchange Savings to the Philippines through obviating the necessity to purchase foreign fossil fuels.
  6. Delivers an estimated Php 830 Million ($USD 18 Million) in the first year of operation and Php 35 Billion ($USD 800 Million) over 25-years per 35 MW plant to the local farming and host community through Global Green Power purchase of local fuels and associated ancillary services such as transport and operations.
  7. Delivers Climate Change Mitigation through Global Green Power use of crop residues such as rice straw, cane tops and other agricultural waste residues that are currently left in the field to rot causing Methane or burnt in the field causing Carbon Dioxide: Both Green House Gasses (“GHG”) that significantly contribute towards Climate Change.
  8. Delivers Agricultural Development working with the National Government and local community to develop row and harvest biomass local fuel crops on marginal lands that are currently unproductive. These crops help to Mitigate Climate Change.
  9. Delivers Social Integration & Development through the provision of jobs, economic opportunity and socio-economic development.
